Repetitive Motion Injuries
Welcome to my Web Page about Repetitive Motion Injuries
Your hands are a true asset. It is your job to protect them.
Repetitive Motion Injuries are tissue injuries that occur as a result of repeated motions. They are among the most common injuries in the United States. All of these disorders are made worse by the strains of daily living. While this site is devoted to Repetitive Motion Injuries, the main focus will be about hand injuries. Besides hands, the other areas which are subject to such injuries are Biceps, Elbows, Rotator Cuffs, Knees, Hip, and Shoulders.
Repetitive Motion Injuries are also commonly refered to as:
- Repetitive Strain Injury
- Repetitive Stress Injury
- Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
- Tennis Elbow

Tennis Elbow
"Tennis elbow" is a common term for a condition caused by overuse of arm, forearm, and hand muscles that results in elbow pain. You don't have to play tennis to get this, but the term came into use because it can be a significant problem for some tennis players.
Carpal Tunnel
No one is immune to acquiring one of these injuries. If you really think about it, almost everyone participates in some type of activity or work that has an inherent repetitive motion involved. It is never too late to begin thinking and behaving differently about keeping your own body in good shape. Working smarter is something everybody can do. The time is now!

Carpal tunnel syndrome is numbness, tingling, weakness, and other problems in your hand because of pressure on the median nerve in your wrist.
